Research on medicinal plant use in lakeshore communities

In 2025 the local team took part in research work titled 'Exploring the Use of Medicinal Plants in Ugandan Lakeshore Communities: Insights from Kikaya, Sazzi, and Buwaya'.

The work documents how communities around the lake use medicinal plants, and is part of a wider effort to generate knowledge locally rather than import it.

It is presented here as a research milestone associated with the local team and Uganda-based research activity.
