Hydroponic system enters its first productive phase
More than 2,000 plants were introduced into the new hydroponic infrastructure during its initial productive phase.

The hydroponic infrastructure at Bioksanland became operational in 2025. During its initial productive phase, more than 2,000 plants were introduced into the system.
Training was delivered with support from Ugandan hydroponic specialists working directly with the Bioksanland team. The emphasis throughout was on knowledge transfer: the people who run the system day to day are the people who were trained to design and maintain it.
Hydroponics allows steady production with lower water use, and complements the open-field crops already grown on the site.
